Takkatupa

We saw a sign saying best restaurant on this road so had to put it to the test! The place was very welcoming, the staff was very friendly and it looked like a cozy place (tad old style, reminded of what Finns called mummola, aka grandma's home) but very nice. Floor around food trays was very sticky for some reason, but it didnt put us off too much. Food had a lot of variety and was very tasty, esp. their garlic butter which we fell it love with and had to try to make our own at home! Im sure it depends a lot on what food you score for that particular day, our menu was boiled potatoes, rice, oven vegetables, cabbage rolls, roast beef, bell pepper chicken and remoulade salmon. I loved the roast beef with potatoes and some fish sides. As well as their fresh bread with garlic butter! Remoulade salmon was also very interesting and was my partners favourite. Cabbage rolls were very salty and rest seemed like simple dishes with not too strong flavour, but they all worked together nicely. Would recommend!

Rejoice vegan brothers and sisters, for I have found the greatest vegan roadstop food. Great traditional Finnish roadstop buffet with excellent vegan choices that you will rarely see elsewhere. The staff was super friendly, and we had a nice place to sit outside with our dog.

We stopped on our way to Nordkapp and the the food was great. We took the buffet, which had plenty of salad choices and great cooked (warm) dishes, dessert, coffee and juice. I hope we could visit it again.
